The model is the heart of the so-called “fundraising”, the fundraising campaign for the new start of the rave The Planet Parade. The parade is already registered for July 10, 2021 in Berlin and wants to become the legitimate successor of the legendary Berlin Loveparade. The 48-meter-long model of the street of June 17th. was initially opened empty on January 13, 2020. With donations starting at 5 €, people were able donate small, handmade mini raver figures. These were obtainable via the online donation shop of Rave The Planet.

Heavy financial damage

That this action is not only annoying, but also means a heavy financial damage for the charitable society. One of its directors, Loveparade inventor Dr. Motte, announced the following statement.

“As a non-profit organisation that not only wants to bring the parade to new life, but also supports other non-profit organisations with the proceeds, such as the ‘Zug der Liebe’, this stupid destruction action is an act against the entire electronic music and club culture. Fortunately, the whole area is private property and very well video monitored. We are therefore confident that the perpetrators were filmed during their act and can be identified and caught.”
