Yes guys, yesterday was the 1st of April, if you didn’t know already. It’s always fun to read Facebook posts this day. Some fools are very creative and people actually believed them. Others are too obvious. Curious about the best April fools in the harder styles? While everyone was joking yesterday, we collected the best April fools from this year and made a Top 5. Enjoy!

#5 I’m leaving the hardstyle scene!

Number #5 was way too obvious. It’s pretty much overused, because of its simplicity, but c’mon this is old school and everybody knows it’s not true when you post it on 1st of April.

Jason Payne announced that he is going to switch to House, starting at Spinnin’ Records with his new track ‘Rock The House’. After 2 years in the harder styles he finally discovered that it’s not his style and passion. Actually, the cover of the fake track looks pretty good, making it convincing for many. But anyway, that was too easy. Be more creative next year!

D-Mind posted, he will quit his alias to start a new musical journey as Alex Louder to produce trap. Interesting fact: Alex Louder is D-Minds official side project, really. Omegatypez did a short interview with Alive At Night about his future and move to deep house … seriously? Ohh, and if you’re doing an April fool, don’t tell anybody!

#4 I’m Back!

Number #4 is actually pretty sad, although your first reaction is “OMG”, until you realise it’s the 1st of April. Who the hell does not want Heady or Showtek back in the business? Both posts are fake and I smiled for a brief second until I realized it … sad. Please don’t make any jokes about that! It hurts people.

We found a Tweet by Headhunterz, which is saying he made a huge mistake and will come back to his roots. It would be a pretty bad April fool if he really had tweeted it.

Same with Showtek, the post was about a special Set at b2s ‘Remember‘. The positive response at X-Qlusive Legends was overwhelming, so they decided to play a set at Remember.

#3 Jason Darulo’s lost brother!

Number #3 was actually funny. Connecting Jason Darulo’s with Jason Payne and making fun of it that he’s searching for his lost brother in the netherlands. This is the creativity I want to see on Aprils fools day. Spinning a serious looking story around these two artists and spreading some false infos, that’s the spirit! A DNA test revealed that Jason Payne is Jason Darulo’s long lost brother, so Jason D. hopped on the next flight to visit his brother in the studio. They decided to produce hardstyle and Jason Darulo will support his brother at Qapital as a MC.

#2 Disney acquires SFX Entertainment

Let’s take over to Number #2 and some serious sh*t! Honestly, I first couldn’t believe it, but who actually knows what’s going on in the USA? Everything is possible. Damn if this would be real , it would change a lot!

So, I followed the link and seriously the page didn’t look very serious but for an unknown reason I really start to read the article. It said Disney acquired SFX Entertainment and with it of course ID&T , Q-Dance, Beatport and many more for 3.2 billion dollars.

The real surprise followed soon. The page directs you automatically to a new one, with the hint that you got trolled. I had a long laugh about it – Good one, but next time design the page a bit realistic!

#1 New hardstyle festival in Bangladesh!

And this is our Top #1 April fool! Although, it was pretty obvious that it’s not real, it’s just hilarious! Good Job Omegatypez , you nailed it. But what happened?

Omegatypez announced that he will be hosting both Mainstages at Mega Music Festival in Bangladesh! But that’s actually not the funny part. Proudly we want to present you the lineup. It’s gorgeous, insane and absolutely massive in a fun way.
