Q-dance is known for their epic stage designs. Each event has its own theme and when there is more than one stage the mainstage is the most important place to represent the party’s theme. It’s decorated tremendously like for instance light, lasers or pyro techniques. Then you have the hardware elements that fit to the theme.

No. 5 – Defqon.1 2009
2009 was my 3rd Defqon.1 and one of the best edition for me. With this epic two headed dragon where the tail sticks out into the water and keeps popping up. I really miss the old location on Almere Strand near to Amsterdam.
The closing set was from Headhunterz and boy do I miss these old days.
No. 4 – Q-Base 2015
Every year Q-Base used to be the great closing act of Q-dance’s festival season. The mainstage of 2015 with the bat is my personal top Q-dance stage no. 4.
No. 3 – Defqon.1 2012
The mainstage of Defqon.1 2012 was gigantic for the first time compared to the years before. At that time I was a Q-dance ambassador and had the opportunity to visit the site and this breathtaking stage 1 hour before the mainstage opened. It was really amazing.
No. 2 – Mysteryland 2016
Yesterday is history, today is a gift, tomorrow is a mystery. This is Mysteryland. Every year Q-dance presents a new stage concept, which is then rebuilt at other events around the world where Q-dance is represented with their own stage – for example Airbeat One or Electric Love. Q-dance at Mysteryland is a festval within a festival. For me the stage – an oversized ram – from 2016 is my top 5 Q-dance stages No. 2!
No.1 – Defqon.1 Australia 2017
Finally this is my personal no. 1 of the top 5 Q-dance stages: Defqon.1 Australia 2017. The stage was in a slightly modified form for the first time at Defqon.1 2017 in the Netherlands, where it was already magical. . But in Australia used as a mainstage and in combination with the fireworks it was simply: WOW (wow)!

There are so many more fantastic stage designs from Q-dance. When I think of the Qlimax 2009 with the moving tree, the perfectly integrated stage, it was really amazing. Or the windmill at Mysteryland 2008… But I had to choose 5. What are your top 5 stages? Please write it in the comments.
