Braunschweig raised the fist for Angerfist! This was a spectacle that hardcore fans from Northern Germany didn’t want to miss on April 17th, and I was excited to be part of it.

The journey
I was already familiar with the journey to the Millennium Event Center in Braunschweig, having attended many former events at this venue. From the main train station, it’s about a half-hour ride by tram and bus, after that you’re dropped off pretty much right in front of the venue. For those who preferred to arrive by car, there were plenty of parking spaces available.
As always, everything at the entrance went smoothly. Once inside, I quickly dropped my jacket off at the cloakroom, and we were ready to go!
The warm-up
DJ Creek opened the show, as is typical for events organized by ME-Events. He energized the crowd for 2.5 hours with hardstyle tracks by Rooler, TNT, and Brennan Heart, among others for sure. The guests used the warm-up to get into the right mood, dancing to Creek’s set while enjoying a beer or two and catching up with friends and acquaintances.

The anticipation
The atmosphere shifted dramatically when Karun took over. This hardcore DJ has already performed at major festivals like Thunderdome, Defqon.1, and Syndicate. In short, this man knew which tracks would get the crowd moving!
The hour of glory
Then, the moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived: The King of Hardcore, Angerfist himself, took the stage! For the next 60 minutes, he delivered what felt like every song the fans had been anticipating. The result was a sea of happy faces, twice as many kicking legs, and an atmosphere like at a major festival – it felt amazing!

The energetic finale
As the closing act, Kili brought over an hour of hard-hitting uptempo sounds to the MEC. The crowd was completely in their element, enjoying one last burst of energy before the lights went on, and it was all over!
My conclusion
Although this event lasted only six hours, it was an incredible experience and worth every second! This certainly won’t be the last time I celebrate at the Millennium Event Center in Braunschweig!
