Qlimax 2015 – Equilibrium
Okay, for starters. The Qlimax 2015 trailer and the line-up are already online and you had to live under a rock if you missed it. In case you have no clue what Qlimax is, here a short description.
“Qlimax is the leading indoor showpiece of the harder styles. The event is known for its unique themes and outstanding shows. On the night itself, a mythological storyline and new technologies come together to provide the ultimate immersive experience.”, Qlimax.com
Today I want to share my expectations and thoughts about this grand event with you. And hopefully you have also something to say and add. Let’s have a look on the trailer first!
Almost every year you can hear sounds in the trailer, which will be part of the anthem. So, an Inception horn and this dazzling wobble sound, I like it already. But it get’s tricky if you want to find hints for the stage design. The topic Equilibrium remembers me of the movie “Equilibrium” but the monks (or whatever those hooded guys are) throw me off.
If Q-Dance sticks with what works it will be something mythological again. But a Qlimax with a sci-fi topic…mhh. Even if it’s very unusual, it would be pretty cool, since it already worked in 2010!
Before we go on: here is the official Qlimax 2015 lineup:
Isaac
Bass Modulators
Atmozfears
Noisecontrollers & Wildstylez
Brennan Heart & Ran-D
Adaro & Zatox
Frequencerz
Deetox
Tha Playah
Anthem creator?
All signs indicate that it will be made by Atmozfears!
Let’s go with the process of elimination.
– DJ Isaac and Bass Modulators will play to early, I guess.
– Brennan Heart & Noisecontrollers? Nope, already produced anthems.
– Wildstylez & Ran-D? Both are playing not solo, so it’s unlikely. And Ran-D already did the Defqon.1 anthem.
And I think Atmozfears is the right choice this year. He had his debut last year at Qlimax and his set was absolutely amazing. He is not only playing on all big stages, but his music is also getting well known in the scene. Also many people just compared the monks from the trailer with Atmozfears press picture, looks pretty similar right? And just don’t forget about his facebook posts about a “beast” he needs to finish and which is the follow up of “release”.
The videos for this track was filmed at Qlimax 2014. Judging by the trailer sounds the anthem will be a bit like last years with some wobbles. To match the upcoming trend, I guess, it will be softer more harddrop like track. But I also want to mention, that all the sounds we know from the trailer sound actually pretty cool. It somehow fit the topic although we didn’t know what this years Qlimax is all about!
Deetox & Villain, what?
We were at HDE when the lineup was released. I must admit, I was very skeptical since Deetox made it. Don’t get me wrong, she is a very talented DJ, she had a great year with awesome releases and I am glad she played at Qapital, but I don’t think that she was the best choice. Give me Warface or even Radical Redemption! Just think of B-Front or Digital Punk as well! Anyway, time will tell and I hope she drops some exclusive raw tunes at Qlimax 2015.
She needs to make something special, to prove herself, although this could be difficult, since she’s playing Live at Loudness the week before! Otherwise it will end in a disaster and a boring set like the one from Max Enforcer & Wildstylez 2013!
Second indicator, why I thought it’s a fake lineup. MC Villain! What is a Qlimax without Ruffian? He cheered us up 15 times in the past 14 years. Villain made his Qlimax debut in 2012, but he only supported Ruffian. I have no clue how to explain this, cause Ruffian is clearly the better MC for Qlimax. Not only because he was there since the f*cking beginning, but also because Villain talks a bit to much 😉
Otherwise the lineup is very balanced! Qlimax 2015 is already sold out since 30 minutes after the sale. So, if you were lucky we wish you a massive night at Qlimax! Don’t forget to share your opinion with us. Who will make the anthem? What do you expect from Qlimax 2015?
