On February 28th, Northern German event organizer “Rustyland” hosted the Battle of Uptempo featuring Dimitri K and Barber at the Millennium Event Center in Braunschweig. Uptempo warriors from every corner of Germany responded to the call, making it a truly epic event!

Getting to the event was a breeze! From Braunschweig’s main train station, attendees could reach the party by bus or tram, with the journey taking just about 30 minutes. For those arriving by car, there were plenty of parking spaces available right in front of the venue.

The entrance was clearly marked and well-organized, with separate queues for regular and VIP ticket holders. Entry for both lines was handled quickly and smoothly by the friendly staff.

Inside the venue, everything was well-arranged: there was a merchandise booth, a cloakroom, restrooms, and, of course, a large bar. Drinks could be purchased via payment cards, which in turn could be obtained at a special counter for cash or by card. Outside, two stalls offered a variety of food options.

The stage, while simple compared to other Rustyland events, perfectly fit the uptempo theme. The sound was clear, loud, and powerful – what more could we festival-goers have asked for?

Battle of Uptempo stage

The evening kicked off with a full hour of well-selected uptempo classics by Febro, getting the crowd pumped up and ready for more. This was followed by Satirized’s solo set and his epic battle against Noxiouz. At that point, no one could remain still – the thunderous bass and breathtaking kicks had everyone completely under control!

Noxiouz then took the stage for his solo set before moving on to the next battle against none other than Barber, who also gave an impressive 30-minute solo performance. It’s always incredible to witness the passion and dedication of Barber, and Dimitri K afterward. They just love to perform on stage and get the crowd pumped up!

The atmosphere in the hall reached an absolute peak as everyone celebrated each track with full-on enthusiasm. This energy only amplified during The Dark Horror’s following set and his fierce battle against Dimitri K. Lekkerfaces also seized the moment, delivering hard-hitting drops that ignited the crowd even more. Finally, Unsyn took the decks for a fitting finale, closing out the night on an unforgettable high note.

In summary, Battle of Uptempo was a thrilling event filled with sensational battles and stunning solo performances that exceeded all my expectations by far. The combination of a well-structured venue, exciting music, and a vibrant crowd created an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
