Decibel Outdoor 2026 thrilled thousands of people from all over the world. The party started right in the parking lot as soon as we arrived. Everyone was buzzing about which sets they absolutely had to see and which side quest to hit next. And the weekend definitely delivered some surprises. Read about how we experienced three days of nature and heavy sound systems.

Arrival & Departure
Just like in previous years, both arrival and departure went off completely smoothly. There was nearly no waiting time to get in and out of the parking lot.
The time in the entrance queue was accompanied by all kinds of music blasting out of the speakers from waiting Decibel visitors. After the doors did finally open on time, we grabbed our camping gear and made our way to the beautiful camping area in the forest. Luckily we got a nice spot next to the bathhouse and protected by the trees.
Departure was just as relaxed as the arrival. One of us left on Sunday right after the Endshow, which worked perfectly, while the rest of the group left on Monday morning, with no stress at all.
Camping and 24 HRS district
This is where Decibel truly starts. After setting up our tents, the partying began even before the gates to the festival area opened. We stayed at campsite 1, right where the 24 HRS district is located. The 24 HRS district is a place that never sleeps. There are multiple pre- and afterparties as well as various activities, such as a funhouse, a cinema, or a safari maze.
In the mornings, the beach parties at the lake carried on the vibe – every night and every morning featured different concepts that brought plenty of energy. For those who wanted a quieter experience, there was the Comfort Camping area. Camping stores, toilets, and showers were spread all over the site. The location at Beekse Bergen was ideal, and it only made an already stellar lineup and production feel even more complete. One big advantage at Decibel Outdoor is that the showers are always free.
In addition to the festival, it was quite an experience itself to explore the site of the Safari Park. You could swim at the beach, enjoy quiet places in the woods, or even spot some living animals.
Festival
The festival was amazing. There was something for everyone in the Harder Styles scene – from classic to new, from slow to fast, from soft to hard. On Friday, there were seven stages. On Saturday, even eleven, and on Sunday, ten stages. Each area had its own special feeling, perfectly adapted to this year’s theme, “Nature’s Rhythm”. Because the sound of the stages rotated every day, you had the chance to experience every stage throughout the weekend.
Speaking of sound – the sound systems were insane. Nowadays it’s rare to find an event where every stage has heavy bass, not only the main stages. Not all areas were flat because of the forest setting, so you might need to find the right spot for the best sound, but on the other hand, it was nice to have some corners with less bass if your ears needed rest.
The promising Future District had a remarkable comeback. This area is specifically designed for newcomers in the scene. Each day had its own vibe, as the location was also changing. But the concept stayed the same, covering the most anticipated Hard Dance genres on every festival day. Harde Kwark and Nocturnal played Xtra-Raw, Kemal and Missy offered Uptempo and Dyzo and Ijgenweis destroyed the area with Zaag.
There was a lot to see and discover on the festival grounds. If you craved adrenaline, the Bungee Jump Tower was the right place. There was a tattoo studio where you could get your Decibel memory inked or a cute piercing.
All over the site were plenty of different bars with a wide variety of drinks with or without alcohol. Some had special themes and even their own DJ. The central food area hosted multiple street food spots with meaty or vegetarian options. While the food we tried was very tasty, we would have wished for some more vegan options. Most prices were at a relatable level for the event industry, but the most beloved festival food, the fries (fritjes, patat or whatever), were priced astronomically high with 7,50 €.
Highlights
Friday: The weekend kicked off with a 1,5-hour Angerfist journey set and an incredible live performance by Spitfire. The day ended with a special tribute show to 25 years of B2S, where each event in their history got a short spot.
Saturday: The big Endshow on the Mainstage featured lights, lasers, and fireworks. Noisecontrollers delivered a 20-year anniversary set on the Mainstage, while the all-time favorite Pussy Lounge takeover took place on the second-biggest outdoor stage.
Sunday: The big surprise came during Radical Redemption’s 15-year set: the anthem for the one-time comeback of Hard Bass on 11.10.2026 was revealed. The anthem creator is none other than Minus Militia. Shortly after, the final Endshow brought everyone together one last time. There were so many amazing sets that you simply can’t name them all – which shows just how incredible the weekend was.

Decibel Outdoor 2026 was a showcase of what happens when a titan like B2S pours its heart and soul into a festival. The atmosphere, the music, the lineup, the design, and the team behind it – all unmatched!
Roughly a third of visitors came from outside the Netherlands, proving how much Decibel resonates worldwide. You owe it to yourself to experience this festival in 2027. It’s a genuine shining star in the Dutch festival scene.
25 Years of Decibel Outdoor
2027 Decibel Outdoor celebrates 25 years of existence. Not many people know that Decibel is even older than Defqon.1, which was founded one year later, in 2003. Next year you can witness the loudest city on earth for the 23 rd time (two times were canceled during the covid pandemic). The loyality tickets are already sold out, so be sure to grab your ticket soon.
