Finally, the time had come – the gates to the dark, industrial walls of Hamburg’s Edelfettwerk opened, and what awaited us inside was beyond belief. The lights, the heat, the rumble of the first kick – it was raw, it was fast, and it was unapologetically hard. This was the Prophecy Uptempo Edition.
Samy
So, let me share a short story with you. If someone had told me years ago that I would dance into May at an uptempo event, I probably would have smiled and replied: “I don’t think so!”
But why not try something new? That’s exactly what I told myself, seizing the chance to not attend just any party – I chose the hardest Dance into May event that I’ve ever experienced.
Here are the three things I particularly loved about this event.
Are you ready?

Being up close and personal with the headliners
What an experience – it simply cannot be put into words! Imagine being completely mesmerized by the heavy kickrolls, as the artists constantly pumped out the heavy beats. It felt like a dream to experience them that close, but it was very much a reality. The headlining acts Major Conspiracy, Barber, Dr. Z, and The Dark Horror provided an impressive lineup. And if you needed a breather, the second floor offered a chance to take it a bit easier with some rawstyle.
Thanks to the support of Dragan from “Equalizerz”, who was there as a guest that evening, I not only had the amazing opportunity to capture some awesome videos of the artists during their sets on stage – no, we could also convince the headliners to give us some interviews. Stay tuned for them to appear on Hardstyle Mag!

Experiencing a special treatment by Dr. Z
Damn, I was fairly skeptical before hearing Dr. Z live for the first time. Trust me, earplugs are a must these days, yet even with them, her extremely hard kicks are about to tear your eardrums apart – but that was exactly what totally captivated and absolutely fascinated me in the end.
While she unleashed hits like “Party Hard” and “Under Control” on the crowd, I took advantage of the moment to capture even more videos and Instagram stories. My ears have never been that challenged, but it was an indescribably cool experience – check out our story highlights to understand what I mean:

Not missing any drops because the bar staff had your back
Although there were almost no paper towels available at the toilets that evening, the situation was only half as bad. Why, you ask? Well, on the way to get the next drink, my hands dried quickly from the fiery heat of the dance floor – and the next refreshing drink was always within reach.
It was very convenient that you ordered your drink at a separate cash desk. While Major Conspiracy was blowing the dust from the speakers, you took your receipt from the cash desk to the bar to exchange it for your drink. There were no crowds, no pushing and shoving – everyone waited patiently. You just had to watch out for the heavy kickrolls, as no one knew when the DJs would hit you with the next one.

Conclusion
The Prophecy Uptempo Edition was utterly convincing and set a milestone for uptempo events in Northern Germany. This unforgettable night will be talked about for a long time to come!
