On the stunning beach of Almere, REBELLiON Outdoor 2025 hit with a single mission: Raw, Fearless, Untamed. Five stages – including the brand-new Hardcore area – and flawless organisation kept the energy high all day. Every detail, from layout to sound, made the festival an unforgettable experience.

On August 2nd, 2025, REBELLiON returned for its second outdoor edition – and the day started anything but promising. Early morning rain poured down, and many feared a soaked, muddy disaster. But just as the gates opened, the skies cleared up, almost as if the weather gods decided to show mercy to us.
What began in pouring rain quickly turned into an amazing day of dancing, with pure raw energy and even some bursts of sunshine. With that beautiful venue by the water and a lineup that delivered across the board, REBELLiON Outdoor 2025 gave us everything we came for – and even more.

Travel
Getting to the venue was generally smooth, whether you arrived by shuttle bus or car. Both options required a bit of walking, but that’s to be expected at outdoor festivals.
The morning rain left a few muddy spots near the parking area, but overall the arrival process was seamless and didn’t dampen the day’s good vibes.
At the gates, entry was quick and efficient. Security and staff kept things relaxed and well-organized – no endless queues, no chaos.

Venue and vibes
The venue layout was a standout. Short walking distances, a clear stage setup, and plenty of covered areas made navigating and taking breaks super easy. Whether you wanted to chill, grab some food, or just catch your breath for a minute, there was always a spot to do it – and still enough space to move around freely. Yes, the occasional gusts of wind blew some sand in your face, but that’s part of the beach festival experience!
The food options were top-notch, as usual. Same for the bars – we really appreciated the fast service. REBELLiON and REBiRTH festivals are well-known for their excellent catering, and this one was no exception.

The stage designs were on-brand and tasteful, with each area carrying its own distinct vibe. The variety extended to the crowd as well: Raw veterans at the Raw Classics stage, oldschool hardcore fans at the new Hardcore area, a more mixed audience at the main stage, and younger fans filling the Xtra Raw tent. But everywhere you went, you constantly felt the community spirit. Klaplongen circles kept forming, people were looking out for each other, and the vibe stayed positive all day long.
The festival grounds were impressively clean from start to finish – almost too clean, which made it even trickier to find an empty cup when you lost your recycling token (if you know, you know). One downside, however, was the toilet situation. While generally well-maintained and clean, there simply weren’t enough of them. Splitting the toilet areas between both sides of the festival site and adding more units overall would help avoid longer queues. On the bright side, the tap water situation was a clear improvement compared to last year – refilling your bottle was quick and easy, with waits rarely exceeding half a minute.

Music
From the very start, the vibes were on point. Even with unpredictable weather, the crowd was in a good mood, ready to go all in. No negativity – just thousands of happy faces moving together and sharing the moment.
Booking rising names like Detailed and Damaxy early in the day was a smart move, getting the crowd completely fired up by the afternoon.
Highlighting a single one of the sets is tough – every stage had its moments. The Xtra Raw tent was a constant energy bomb, with one exception. Toza’s zaagkicks felt slightly out of place there and might have fit better on the main stage. Still, the overall curation was sharp.
In the evening, when a few drops of rain returned, The Purge’s uplifting vibes had everyone dancing like the sun was still shining bright. His feel-good set lifted the entire crowd’s mood and made you forget the grey skies completely. That emotional contrast between weather and music is something only the harder styles can deliver!

Exproz deserves a big mention, too – his set brought a unique energy with those signature screech-kicks, a refreshing contrast that really stood out.
There were also some unexpected changes. Aversion unfortunately had to cancel his set last-minute due to travel issues, but Element stepped in seamlessly – massive respect for that quick turnaround.
Another standout was the special Radical Redemption vs. Rebelion set. Seeing Radical Redemption live again was a treat, and the chemistry between the two acts really clicked.
One of the most memorable moments came when The Smiler vs. Fraw dropped a hard-hitting edit of Scooter’s “One (Always Hardcore)”. The entire crowd screamed along to the iconic lyrics before being slammed back into The Smiler’s relentless kicks. Pure goosebumps, pure unity.
And during the final anthem at the closing ceremony, you could truly feel the emotional closure of the day. That track wasn’t just an anthem – it nailed the entire vibe of REBELLiON Outdoor 2025.
The sound system overall was solid, with only occasional fluctuations in volume throughout the day. Still, the clarity and punch of the kicks never suffered, and every stage had its own flavor. Compared to 2024, it was a clear improvement.
The new Hardcore area, which at first might’ve seemed like a mismatch for a rawstyle-focused event, turned out to be a perfect addition. “Step back to the old days” was more than just a phrase – it gave the day a balanced contrast, much like the Raw Classics stage did.

Conclusion
REBELLiON Outdoor 2025 delivered everything a true harder styles lover could hope for – and then some. With a diverse crowd, smart artist bookings, a well-organized venue, and a sound experience that hit every mark, it ticked nearly all the boxes. Sure, there’s room for improvement (toilets), but the overall vibe more than made up for it.
It was likely the loudest beach party Almeerderstrand has ever witnessed. And even with unpredictable weather, OG ravers know the rule: rain or shine, we dance regardless!
